Into the Woods Day 7

Mackenzie Howard

To we walked to Delco Park as a class. This was a big change for us as we were used to being bused everywhere we went.

While at Delco Park, we had a sit down with a local selling author to discuss poems and more specifically metaphors. While observing nature he created an activity for us to create metaphors with what we saw (below). We also were required to take a closer look that we live in. Being Humans we see things in a much larger point of view. If were were to shrink ourselves down what would we be able to see. The point of the small world activity was to view a square space of grass from three different viewing heights. Our regular height, a kneel, and then laying ion the ground.

By laying on the ground it was a like a whole new world of creatures that we take advantage of sadly.

Metaphors

-

A pile of charcoal, its ash like a fresh blanket of snow.

Fish, shining like the water it swims in.

A trees branches stretch like the wide arms from a mothers embrace.

The wind moving in the leaves, flowing together like the first dance of love.
