Into the Woods Day 4

Mackenzie Howard

Today, I got the experience of going Kayaking at the Narrows in Beaver creek. While going down the river it was a very peaceful time as i got to listen to the trickling sound of the water rushing past my boat along with all the different animals that were tucked away hidden in the trees.

Along with going Kayaking we also watched a TED talk video about what it means to listen. Not only just listening by using your senses but the different types of listening a person can do if they just focus. Its important to listen to your surroundings and also let them overwhelm you with a sense of joy. Those thing around you can be calm and peaceful by simple just being. I think that is what my biggest take away from that was today, being able to find joy from just listening to the happy life around me.

To make an ocean

-

It takes a strong flowing breeze,

To move things along.

Tiny droplets together as one,

Island birds singing their song.

A dive underneath,

And a splash of mystery.

From dark hidden canyons,

And a hidden history.

Animals unknown,

And places to hide.

An underwater wonderland,

The floor painted and dyed.

It takes sprout of coral and flower,

But also one more thing.

A helping hand to keep it sound,

And also to keep it clean.
